lightening pictures

Tuesday night we had a series of thunderstorms. We could see at least 2 storms from our porch and there were tons of flashes all around the area. It was an awesome effect, blinding too. Our camera has a night landscape setting, which holds the shutter open about 8 seconds. So, I would randomly take a picture and hope that there would be a flash in just the right direction. Surprisingly, I got a few! But there were lots of flashes so it wasn't very hard.

The heavens are telling of the glory of God;

Colonial Williamsburg

Everyone (except me because I was at my grandmothers) took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg a few weeks ago. They tell me it was a lot of fun and they enjoyed going. I had a fun time with my grandmother in Maryland helping her get ready to move.
